Club News

July 2008

Club name change. As from August 1st 2008, the football club operated by Filey Boys & Girls Sports Club Limited, will be known by the new name of F.C. Filey. This snappier, shorter and more dynamic name is to reflect that the club has taken its first foray into adult football teams and will be entering an open age team into the Scarborough Sunday League. The club is still primarily a junior football club, however twelve years into our existence, we have an increasing number of old members who have grown up, but still want to play for the club. The ‘company’ will retain its present title, which identifies us as a junior football organisation.
